Students will be submitting their Stacking a Newscast Sheets for assessment
FLOW OF LESSON
Suggested bell ringer: There used to be a saying in media: If it bleeds it leads. What do you think that means and do you feel that is still true with all of the different ways people have to get their news?
Teacher will present the PowerPoint.
Teacher will divide the students into groups of three.
Teacher will distribute the Stacking a Newscast assignment.
Students should collaborate on the assignment.
It is the teacher’s choice to have the students present their stack or not. If the teacher decides to have the student present, then additional time may need to be added in order to discuss differences in lead stories, etc.
