Infographics PowerPoint Day 2
Teacher will need to build survey using survey software of teacher’s choosing; a list of questions for the survey can be found in the Additional Information section at the end of this lesson plan.
Steps to check for student understanding
Teacher will do frequent comprehension checks in the form of Classroom Assessment Techniques (thumbs up, thumbs down; exit slip in the form of post-it note summary)
This module will contain guidance for students and teachers to work toward making decisions and putting assets in place for future production. Keep in mind that you are creating valuable tools for future use. Emphasize this to your students as well.
FLOW OF LESSON
Suggested bell ringer: What movie title sums up your life and why?
Teacher will present the PowerPoint
Teacher will e-mail or distribute the surveys that teacher built
Students will take the surveys that teacher built
Teacher will distribute the data collected; if not online, teacher will have two students tabulate the data.
Students will work individually to create an infographic that relates to the data from the survey.
Students should submit their infographic along with their Compare/Contrast/Consider data from yesterday so that teacher can help students make a decision on what infographic creator will be used in class.
WRAPPING IT UP
