Two-week extension: Reynolds High School Journalism Institute applications due March 15

Applications for the 2015 Reynolds High School Journalism Institute are due March 15. The Institute is the premier summer workshop for secondary-school advisers and provides wide-ranging journalism education and hands-on experience. All travel, housing and instructional expenses, as well as optional continuing education credit, are paid so there is no cost to teachers or their schools.

The 2015 Institute will include one week of on-campus training combined with pre- and post-Institute instruction online. Teachers who have previously attended the Institute are welcome to apply.

The Institute, administered by the American Society of News Editors, is hosted by four universities. Teachers may apply for any location that fits their schedule. The selection committees will choose 35 participants for each Institute:
Arizona State University: June 21-27, 2015
Kent State University: July 12-18, 2015
University of Texas: July 12-18, 2015
University of Missouri: July 19-25, 2015

Funding for the Institute comes from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. Since its inception in 2001, the Institute has trained more than 2,200 teachers.
